Legends of the origin of tarot: Ship of fools and Notradamus prophecy

There are two legends about the origin of tarot. Many reader believe that tarot is set of prophecy image of the prophet Michael de Nostredame, better known as Nostradamus. In 1994 a researcher working in the Italian National Library in Rome discovered a missing manuscript, believed to have been devised by Nostradamus. The manuscript, never published in his lifetime, presented a brief glance at these extraordinary images drawn on the symbolism of Tarot, was published as Tarot of Nostradamus (1983) and Lost Tarot of Nostradamus (2012). Another legends is related with Ship of Fools, an allegory, originating from Book VI of Plato's Republic, about a ship with a dysfunctional crew. The concept makes up the framework of the book Ship of Fools (1494) of Sebastian Brant, in which used the Illustrations of Albrecht DΓΌrer. Many researcher believe that tarot is a set of painting of the motif of the ship of fools which served to parody the 'ark of salvation' in the Catholic culture. It lately was published as Tarot of Ship of Fools (2002).
