Petit Etteilla Cards

"Etteilla", or Jean-Baptiste Alliette (1738 – 1791), the father of tarot, published many books of divination which used the playing cards like Etteilla, ou maniΓ¨re de se rΓ©crΓ©er avec un jeu de cartes, for which he coined the term cartonomancie which became laterly cartomancy. Etteilla explains how to use an ordinary deck of playing cards as an oracle. Soon after Etteilla published his seft-designed fortune-telling cards based on the normal playing cards, with the keyword inside. Laterly, it has been published by Grimaud in 19th century. His book and his deck become the standard for all teaching and reading during 19th century and influenced many readers included the most famous cartomancer Mlle Lenormand. Etteilla was not really the first to write on the subject, but still the most influenced cartomancer.
