Case : 745The renaissance tarot begin very lately, with the Visconti-Sforza Tarot influence, but it is now a very strong theme in the 2000’s. The first way is reusing the renaissance paintings to create the decks. The most successful deck, Golden Tarot, a digital deck, is a sumptuous collage Tarot deck, skillfully blending medieval and Renaissance artwork into whole Tarot scenes with gilt edge cards. An art work, Da Vinci Tarot of A. Atanassov, in homage to the great Renaissance painter, Leonardo da Vinci. The images in the Da Vinci Tarot are mostly inspired by Leonardo's art, but do feature some of his well-known pieces. Another well known tarot, Bosch Tarot of A. Atanassov, modelled on that of Dutch artist Hieronymous Bosch and has many surrealist elements from his paintings. Other way is designing with renaissance style. The best-selling Medieval Scapini Tarot Deck, by Luigi Scapini, is influenced directly on the renaissance style. It's a very rare deck with a very authentic Middle Ages feel and look to the card artwork.
