The development of the theories of oracle: Geomancy

Case : 667
Geomancy is a method of divination that interprets markings on the ground or the patterns formed by tossed handfuls of soil, rocks, or sand. It was one of the most popular forms of divination throughout Africa and Europe, particularly during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Geomancy was practiced by people from all social classes. The most prevalent form of divinatory geomancy involves interpreting a series of 16 figures formed by a randomized process that involves recursion followed by analyzing them, often augmented with astrological interpretations. The tradition geomantic tool is a simple 2 wands, with four rotatable cubes in each wands. Each cube has 4 faces with the indication by dots from 1 to 4. The combination of 8 faces will give the divination.  The most famous deck that used this theory is the Grand Lenormand, published by Grimaud in 19th century. The most popular deck in this century is the Geomantic by Grimaud, which the origin is unclear. Grimaud claims that it is from the design of 19th century Jean-Baptist Grimaud, who is the chef of Grimaud at the time.
