Reconstruction of Tarot de Marseille

Case : 188
Many occultist do not agree with Paul Marteau about his occultist correction on Ancien Tarot de Marseille, so they create themseft their versions. The most famous, Camoin (the last owner of Camoin Publisher) and Jodorowski, French Tarot scholars, have restored crisp detail and outlines in their variation of the Tarot of Marseilles woodcut images from his Camoin’s Heritage, also known as Camoin Jodorowsky’s Tarot de Marseille, published in 1997. Le Veritable Tarot de Marseille (The True Tarot of Marseilles) is a Marseilles variation with subdued coloration, in which the close attention has been paid to the finer details of the cards, restored and reconstructed by French Tarotist, Kris Hadar, published by Mortagne. Other important way to modifying is adding the meaning directly on the cards: Tarot Arista by Grimaud in 1979, Kaplan with this Starter Tarot Deck in 1988 (both full 78 version and Trumps-only version), Taromantic by Grimaud in 1987, Tarot de Marseille with meaning by Lo Scarabeo in 2000.
