The first tradition of iconography : Egyptian Influence

After the WWII, this lineage continue with a big explosion. The Etteilla’s decks (type I, III, IV) are republished many time with many publishing company different in 70’s until now. We can count many decks in the New Age mouvement named “Egyptian Tarot”: Les Tarots Egyptiens, designed by Laura Tuan, in 1995; Tarot Egyptiens by Silvana Alasia, in 1996; Tarot Egyptien designed by Silvana Alasia, in 1998; Egyptian Tarot, designed by Esther Casla in 1998. Other decks could be named after the king like Ramses II Tarot of Severino Baraldi, the queen like Cleopatra Tarot of Silvana Alasia or even the priest like Imhotep’s The Tarot of Saqqara of Donald G.Beaman. We need also count the Book of Thoth’s tradition: Etteilla’s Thoth Tarot by Lo Scarabeo, Etteilla’s Book of Thoth by Lo Scarabeo, another Etteilla’s Livre de Thoth by Dusserre, Etteilla’s Book of Thoth by Grimaud, Tarot de la Transition by Carta Mundi and finally Book of Thoth by A.Crowley
